Energy storage comes in many different forms because energy comes in many different forms. The storage methods employed today vary depending on specific requirements, such as power demand, the number of sites to be supplied, and the most efficient technology for each case.

Currently, there are five primary categories of energy storage technologies: mechanical, electrochemical, thermal, electrical, and hydrogen storage. However, our guest company, Enervenue, introduces an interesting technology that falls somewhere between electrochemical and chemical storage. Their system combines the best aspects of both worlds, offering unique benefits. But how does it achieve this? What sets it apart? Before going deep into these details, let's meet our guest speaker.

Chad Spring, Senior Business Development Manager at Enervenue, boasts extensive experience in the energy and energy storage industry. Drawing from his background, Chad highlights how the industry's perspective on energy storage, particularly stationary energy storage, is shifting thanks to advances and innovations.

Speaking of advancements, EnerVenue works with a technology that traces its roots back 30 years to NASA. However, they have made significant improvements by replacing elements to enhance performance, longevity, and durability beyond the capabilities of the original chemistry. One notable feature of their battery system is its simplistic component design, enabling efficient recycling. Approximately 99% of the components can be disassembled and are non-toxic. In addition to this green quality, EnerVenue's systems boast compactness, allowing them to be deployed within 10 to 20-foot containers.
